There's a great saying:

"You don't know what you don't know."

Many times, when we are suffering through adversity or coping with the complications of life we do our best to figure things out for ourselves.

It's great when it works ... until we hit that wall.

You know the one that I mean, where everything you do to help yourself

just doesn't work.

So we reach out for help ... friends, family or people we think will be able to help get us out of this place we don't want to be in. Sometimes we get lucky and the advice is good but other times, we're right back to where we started ...

And still suffering.

One of the most powerful lessons I learned in adulthood was being able to ask for help. A level beyond that was to seek truly the right help to get the resolution I wanted.
